National Association of Realtors Releases 2010 Profile of Maine Homebuyers

A recently released report by the National Association of Realtors surveyed approximately 10,000 home buyers and sellers.. 118 of them came from Maine and here are a few of the highlights from this report.

  • 63% of all buyers were first time home buyers in Maine compared to 50% nationwide
  • 14% of Maine buyers purchased due to the tax credit compared with 8% nationwide
  • 51% said heating costs were most important compared with 39% nationwide
  • 44% of all home buyers found their home online, 37% from real estate agents

  1. Well,very good statistics.the first time buyers have 50% of total 63%.the status after 6 months,will be better than this.The real estate business has improved very much now-a days.
